Conclusions
- Kubernetes has surely won battle with others container orchestrators engines such as Mesos or Docker Swarm and it has a bright future with even faster development and more features to come. Additionally it works best when deployed on cloud and is integrated with other services (i.e. load balancers, storage, authentication)
- As a founder and one of the main contributors to Kubernetes project, Google is a leader of container services in the cloud
- Azure is pushing hard to become a major platform for containers and has become also a major contributor to Kubernetes project
- AWS ECS was one of the first one to offer service for containers, but it’s not the best on the market - it has a lot less features and its development cycle is not so impressive as Kubernetes which shows the power of Open Source projects and a path for adoption for cloud platforms
