Conclusions

  • Always set budget alarms to not be surprised when some service unexpectedly for you starts consuming a lot more (e.g. too many too expensive virtual instances or big amount of outgoing data transferred outside your cloud )
  • Spending limit is one of the most anticipated feature on AWS (and GCP as well), but at the same time it’s the core of cloud providers business to earn on their services regardless whether you expected that or not
